Ruth was born in Michigan, U.S.A. and was a daughter of the late Claude Gordon and Margaret (Myers) Micks. Beloved wife of Lawrence Houston. Loving mother of Linda (Gary) and Mary (Richard "Bear"). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, Kristy, Darby, step-grandchildren Garrett, Katie and great grandchild Emerson. Kind sister of Helen, Joanne, Judy, Diane and Barbara. Also survived by her best friends Diane and Bernadette as well as many other friends, family, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Dolly, John, Frank, Wilfred, Harry, Russell, Dorothy, Olive and Myrtle. Cremation will take place.Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow immediately after visitation at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Funeral Home.Interment of Ashes will take place at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dialysis Unit or Chatham-Kent Home Care may be left at the funeral home.As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory of Ruth Houston.
